Five activities
Day 1 · Check before you trust
Ask ChatGPT to explain a public claim and list what evidence would confirm it. Check the claim independently against an original or credible source. Write down what remains uncertain.
Open ChatGPT and enter: “Start Day One of the AI Squared Five-Day White Hat AI Challenge. Help me practice verifying a public claim without treating your answer as a source.”
Day 2 · Protect before you prompt
Choose a task you might use AI for. Identify sensitive details, remove or anonymize them, and write a safer prompt. Do not submit the original sensitive material.
Open ChatGPT and enter: “Start Day Two of the AI Squared Five-Day White Hat AI Challenge: Protect Before You Prompt.”
Day 3 · Recognize bias
Ask an AI tool to describe two perspectives on a public issue. Identify whose views may be missing and which claims require verification. Use human judgment before reaching a conclusion.
Day 4 · Spot misinformation
Take a public claim or a fictional example. Separate facts, opinions and unsupported assertions. Look for an original source before you repeat the claim.
Day 5 · Keep human judgment in control
Review one AI-assisted answer. Record what you verified, what you changed, what you would not publish, and who remains responsible for the final decision.
